Colts’ Anthony Richardson scores two rushing TDs in first quarter

Before leaving due to a concussion, Anthony Richardson scored two rushing touchdowns.

Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson got the offense on the board early with two rushing touchdowns in the first quarter of the Week 2 game against the Houston Texans.

The rookie led the first drive of the game for a 10-play, 75-yard series, capping it off with an 18-yard touchdown run on a quarterback draw play. He was 5-of-6 passing for 50 yards.

Almost immediately after the opening drive, the Colts defense forced and recovered a fumble inside the 20-yard line. On the first play from scrimmage following the fumble recovery, Richardson took a 15-yard run for another score.

Unfortunately, Richardson wound up sustaining a concussion at the end of the second rushing touchdown. He stayed in for two more drives, both of which were three-and-outs, before being ruled out due to a concussion.
