The Colorado Buffaloes football team held its spring game last Saturday in front of a sold-out crowd at Folsom Field.
The first-hand look at Deion Sanders and his new regime was the talk of the country, and the game was televised on ESPN. The Buffs’ spring game drew 551,000 viewers on the network, making this the second-most watched spring game since 2016.
The Buffs went 1-11 a year ago, moved on from Karl Dorrell and made the biggest hire of the offseason by landing Deion Sanders. Hype around Colorado football is back after several rough few seasons.
The game was sold out, and there were plenty of highlights. Montana Lemonious-Craig had a massive day but entered the portal after. Shedeur Sanders dazzled in his first action at Folsom, and two-way star Travis Hunter caught a touchdown pass from Sanders in a Jackson State flashback.

The Buffs have already sold out of season tickets, and we are still months away from the beginning of the regular season. If the spring game had this many viewers, we can only imagine how many will tune in when September comes.
