Likely due to four of Colorado’s five starters returning next season, another freshman has decided to look for opportunities elsewhere.
On Wednesday, BuffZone’s Brian Howell tweeted that first-year CU women’s basketball guard Jada Wynn is in the transfer portal, joining fellow freshmen Ally Fitzgerald and Lizzie Holder. Forward Brianna McLeod is now the only class of 2022 signee still firmly in the program.
Wynn averaged just over 12 minutes, 3.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in her first collegiate season. But again, with the Buffs bringing back most of their main weapons from this year’s Sweet 16 team, her playing time didn’t appear primed to increase at least in 2023-24.
Colorado also has five incoming freshmen heading into next season and two open scholarship spots available, per Howell.
Colorado WBB freshman Jada Wynn is in the transfer portal. The 6-1 guard was a nice contributor off the bench, averaging 3.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 12.1 minutes per game. She hit 38.1% of her 3s. #cubuffs have had 3 of their 4 class of 2022 signees go to the transfer portal
