Colorado sees OL commit Matthew Bedford flip to Oregon

Less than one week after giving his commitment to Colorado, Matthew Bedford announced a change of plans

Less than one week after giving his commitment to Colorado, former Indiana offensive lineman Matthew Bedford announced Monday that he’s flipping to Oregon.

“The Colorado organization is so amazing that I made a decision too hastily before weighing all of my options,” Bedford wrote on social media. “However, upon reflection, I believe that the University of Oregon aligns perfectly with my long-term goals and I am thrilled to join the Oregon Ducks and contribute my best on and off the football field.”

Bedford started in 38 games over five years at Indiana before entering the transfer portal this offseason. Based on his experience and overall talent, the 6-foot-6, 305-pound lineman appeared likely to start for Colorado next fall.

Instead, Bedford joins a small but impressive group of Oregon-bound transfers. Not long after landing Bedford, the Ducks picked up UCLA transfer quarterback Dante Moore on Monday evening. Oregon also secured former Oklahoma QB Dillon Gabriel’s commitment.
