Tad Boyle’s Minnesota pipeline remains strong now six years after pulling in Champlin great McKinley Wright IV to Colorado.
On Tuesday morning, The Circuit’s Dino Siervo tweeted that class of 2024 guard Tameron Ferguson has received “heavy interest” from the Buffs and other Divison I men’s basketball programs. Ferguson just wrapped an impressive junior season at St. Cloud Tech in which he averaged 30 points, five rebounds six assists and seven steals per game, according to Siervo.
Siervo added that the 6-foot-2 Ferguson is now playing with D1 Minnesota on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.
None of Colorado’s 2023 signees (Cody Williams, Assane Diop and Courtney Anderson) are guards, so getting a commitment from Ferguson would likely help rebuild that position post-KJ Simpson/Julian Hammond III. Redshirt freshman shooting guard RJ Smith should also be a factor in the Buffs’ backcourt in the coming seasons.
