The Colorado men’s basketball team could soon land one of the nation’s top 2023 recruits in 6-foot-7 small forward Cody Williams.
With the early signing period set to begin Nov. 9, On3 Sports believes the Buffs have a “slight edge” over Southern California, Arizona and LSU to snag Williams.
Recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw of On3 reported that Williams has built a strong relationship with Colorado’s staff and he was also impressed by the program’s training development, a well-known strength of Tad Boyle’s program. The four-star product from Gilbert, Arizona took his official visit to CU on Aug. 19.
Williams, the younger brother of recent Oklahoma City Thunder draft pick Jalen Williams, is currently the No. 26 prospect nationally in his class per On3.
As intel continues to flow in, do not count out Colorado on this one. Sources indicate that there is a lot of confidence coming out of Boulder. In fact, as of this Tuesday morning update, intel suggests giving a slight edge to the Buffaloes.
On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine Intel suggests a Cody Williams commitment is imminent. He listed his final four schools as Southern California, Arizona, Colorado, and LSU.
As of this writing, On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) gives Colorado an 86.2 percent chance of landing the four-star small forward.
