Colorado men’s basketball beats out CSU for Ian Inman’s commitment

Welcome to the Buffs, Ian Inman

Colorado men’s basketball’s 2025 recruiting class earned its second commitment on Wednesday as wing Ian Inman announced his pledge to head coach Tad Boyle and the Buffs.

Inman is a three-star prospect (per 247Sports) from The Woodlands, Texas who chose Colorado over Colorado State. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound swingman visited CU and CSU last week and was previously considering Rice, West Virginia and Louisville.

In an interview with 247Sports, Inman said he was drawn to Colorado because of its “endless resources” and the program’s ability to develop young players.

“It was really the fact that coach Boyle cleared a lot of stuff up,” Inman told 247Sports. “They have a great developmental program and they just have the right guys going into the Big 12 like myself. I feel like we could have the underdog mentality in the Big 12 and shock a lot of people.”

Last month, three-star point guard Isaiah Johnson became Colorado’s first 2025 commitment.

The Buffs are also in the running for four-star shooting guard Kayden Edwards. According to On3, Edwards will announce his commitment to either Colorado or TCU on Wednesday afternoon.
