Colorado makes four-star athlete Dreyden Garner’s top five

Colorado is one of two Big 12 schools that made Dreyden Garner’s top five

About 10 months after receiving an offer from Colorado, four-star athlete Dreyden Garner made it clear that he’s still heavily considering the Buffs.

The class of 2025 prospect revealed his top five schools on Wednesday and Colorado was included along with Arkansas, San Diego State, Ole Miss and fellow Big 12 program Oklahoma State.

Garner hails from San Diego (Lincoln High School), so it’s no mystery why he featured the Aztecs as his only non-Power Five team. Colorado will now have to beat out former offensive coordinator Sean Lewis, who recently assumed San Diego State’s head job, for Garner’s commitment.

When he announced his Colorado offer last May, Garner revealed that he spoke with wide receivers coach Brett Bartolone, suggesting the 6-foot, 180-pound athlete is being viewed as an offensive player.

The 247Sports composite ranks Garner as the No. 15 athlete in his class and the No. 325 overall prospect.
