Coming off his first and now only season at Colorado, walk-on long snapper Jacob Politte announced Sunday that he has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Politte began his college career at Jackson State before following head coach Deion Sanders to Boulder last winter. In his announcement tweet, the 6-foot-1, 220-pound long snapper thanked Coach Prime:
“Thank you @DeionSanders for the opportunities that were offered to me because of you,” Politte wrote. “It’s bittersweet but I am excited to see what God has in store for me.”
Politte, who has two years of eligibility remaining, didn’t see any game action last season for the Buffs.
During his two years at Jackson State, he played in 15 total games and earned Fourth-Team All-SWAC honors in 2022. Politte played his high school football at Lubbock-Cooper in Texas before joining the Tigers as a walk-on in 2021.
I have officially entered the transfer portal with 2 years of eligibility remaining. Thank you @DeionSanders for the opportunities that were offered to me because of you. It’s bittersweet but I am excited to see what God has in store for me.
