Colorado football spring game tickets nearly sold out ahead of Deion Sanders’ first season as head coach

Tickets for Colorado’s spring football game are nearly sold out

The hiring of Deion Sanders at Colorado was a rather unexpected splash by athletic director Rick George, who was tasked with rejuvenating the Buffs’ downtrodden football program.

Since Coach Prime was hired following a groundbreaking tenure at the helm of Jackson State, the hype at Colorado has exploded exponentially.

Bringing Sanders into the fold and having the top transfer class in the nation with him has led to an uptick in national attention, a far cry from how things were in recent seasons where the Buffs failed to establish consistency in the Pac-12.

Obviously, it remains to be seen whether Sanders can translate the hype into wins come the fall, but for now, the Buffs’ spring game remains a hot commodity with the allotment of tickets dwindling quickly.

Per Howell, luxury seats aren’t being sold so Folsom Field will not hit its capacity of about 50,000.

It’s not late August, but given the transfer additions — notably former top recruit Travis Hunter and soon-to-be starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders — and the fact that Colorado has transformed into an attractive destination for recruits almost overnight, the early returns are positive, that’s for sure.
