Colorado football recruiting: Buffs earn pledge from Oklahoma athlete Morgan Pearson

Morgan Pearson is now Colorado’s highest-rated 2023 commit

Despite not having a full-time head coach in place, Colorado football hasn’t slowed down much in the recruiting game.

The Buffs’ latest snag came Monday in the form of 2023 athlete Morgan Pearson. It’s not completely clear what position he’ll be playing in college, but the 6-foot-1, 220-pound Oklahoma prospect has received interest from several other Power Five schools, including Michigan State, Iowa State, Minnesota, Oklahoma State and Arkansas.

Pearson told BuffStampede’s Adam Munsterteiger that Colorado may have plans to use him at either linebacker, safety or tight end.

With a .8793 rating (247Sports composite), the three-star athlete becomes the highest-rated commit in Colorado’s 2023 class, just ahead of California cornerback Jordan Shaw.
