With only three weeks remaining until Colorado football’s season opener against North Dakota State, the Buffs have seemingly added another new face to their rebuilt offensive line.
CU football released its finalized 2024 roster on Thursday and former LSU Tigers OL Kardell Thomas represented a surprising addition. Thomas began his college career in Baton Rouge before transferring to Florida A&M ahead of the 2023 season. There, he recorded one tackle.
During his three seasons at LSU, Thomas played in 11 games, including two starts, but didn’t tally any tackles.
Coming out of high school in Louisiana, Thomas was a four-star prospect and the No. 4 offensive guard in the 2019 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports composite.
Thomas was briefly committed to Division II Central Missouri State this offseason before landing with the Buffs.
Thomas is listed at 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds on Colorado’s roster.
