Alabama is looking to have a repeat performance of the program’s 2020 national championship run, but this time with a an unfamiliar cast.
The team returns only 33% of the 2020 starting crew, but is still projected to make the 2021 College Football Playoff, according to College Football News’ bowl projections.
The two College Football Playoff semifinal contests will be played in the Orange Bowl and the Cotton Bowl.
The four teams projected to make the playoff are Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and Oklahoma.
With the Crimson Tide and the Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl and the Tigers and Sooners meeting in the Orange Bowl. Seeding was not included, nor was an outright winner, but they did offer a national championship matchup.
According to College Football News, Alabama and Oklahoma will play for a national title at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
