College Football News Preview 2020: Top West Virginia Mountaineers Players
Best West Virginia Mountaineers Offensive Player
WR Sam James, Soph.
The starting quarterback between the two top options needs to the star of the offense, and the main man has to do more to get the ball to James. The 6-0, 184-pounder is a next-level quick target who wasn’t able to break free all that often. However, along with his job as a return man, he stepped up as the No. 1 target with a team-high 69 catches for 677 yards and two touchdowns. The 14-catch, 223-yard day in the loss to Texas Tech might be more of the norm.

Best West Virginia Mountaineers Defensive Player
DT Dante Stills, Jr.
Both of the Stills brothers are terrific. Dante is the lighter, quicker all-around defender for the line, while Darius is the big thumper on the inside. Darius dropped some weight, and now watch out for the First Team All-Big 12 performer to be even faster off the ball after generating 47 tackles with seven sacks and 15 tackles for loss.
