1. College Football News Preview 2020: Utah State Aggies What Will Happen
Gary Andersen won as many games at Utah State last year as he did in his 2.5 seasons at Oregon State, and he won one fewer game than he did in his first two seasons at Utah State in the first go-round in 2009 and 2010.
But that doesn’t mean the team was good enough.
It was supposed to be a bit of a rebuilding year in some ways after the huge 2018 under now Texas Tech head coach Matt Wells, and it was promising early on before fizzling in the second half.
This year’s team doesn’t have the parts to win the Mountain West, but there’s more than enough in place to go bowling and come up with an upset or three along the way.
Missing UNLV and San Jose State from the West isn’t a positive, and going to Boise State, Nevada, Wyoming and Colorado State hurts, but a 5-3 run in Mountain West play is an easy goal to go for.
It’s another transitional season coming off a transitional season, getting back in the bowl mix has to be a given.
