Earlier this week, FOX Sports’ hot take host had some big praise of the Buffalo Bills.
In light of the Patriots signing quarterback Cam Newton, Cowherd said it doesn’t mater, the Pats “won’t have fun finishing second to the Buffalo Bills.” But that wasn’t the only way the Bills were held in very high regard by Cowherd over the past few days.
Picking his top-10 coaches Cowherd would start a NFL franchise with, Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott landed at the No. 2 overall spot.
The list included five criteria to get there. Those were age, easy to work with, the less controversy-the better, innovative thinker, relates to players.
“Nine wins in two of three seasons in Buffalo, his eye for personnel is unbelievable, his defense last year was filthy good, it wasn’t as dynamic as San Francisco’s defense, but if you watched them play, man, they remind me of (Bill) Belichick. His players are never in the wrong spot,” Cowherd said. “Josh Allen could be a little bit of the wild pony here, you’re not quite sure what direction he’s going to go in. But when I watch this team, I see personnel excellence, I see consistency, I see players in the right spot, I see a team that never beats themselves.”
