Cole Anthony has impressive season debut for Magic

Former UNC point guard Cole Anthony had an impressive 2022-23 season debut with the Orlando Magic, scoring 25 points.

The Orlando Magic are one of the more intriguing young teams in the NBA this season. Not only do the Magic have No. 1 overall pick Paolo Banchero but they also have a young nucleus that includes [autotag]Cole Anthony[/autotag], Jalen Suggs, and Wendell Carter among others.

For Anthony, this is his third season in the NBA and he’s a key cog to the Magic offense. On Friday night, he showed that as he made his season debut.

Anthony scored 25 points in Friday’s loss to Atlanta, putting together an impressive showing in his first game for the 2022-23 campaign after missing Wednesday’s game with an illness.

The Magic are 0-2 on the year but so far, the young players are showing up and making an impact. This is going to take some time for them to gel but if they can get some big games from Banchero, Anthony, and Suggs, they should start to develop more and win games.
