Defending champion América stayed busy during the international break, falling 3-2 to rival Cruz Azul in a friendly in Los Angeles. San Luis had time to regroup after entering the break off a 2-1 win over Pachuca on March 17.
Andre Jardine will have to be mindful of fixture pileup, as his América side will travel to the U.S. to face the New England Revolution on Tuesday in a Concacaf Champions Cup quarterfinal first leg.
