Cleveland Browns bring in Khalil Davis and 4 others for tryouts

The Cleveland Browns continue to look to churn the bottom of their roster, bringing in five for a tryout.

According to the NFL’s Personnel Notice sent out today, Friday 9/16, the Cleveland Browns brought in five players for tryouts. Defensive tackle Khalil Davis is among the most popular of the names, as he was a sixth round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The four other names brought in were former Florida and undrafted free agent Jean Delance, former Morgan State offensive tackle Tyrone Wheatley, defensive end Nick Thurman out of Houston, and former Stony Brook linebacker Sam Kamara.

The defensive linemen named could have a direct correlation to the discipline Perrion Winfrey is facing from the team as Roderick Perry has been activated from the Practice Squad for this game against the Jets to sit in for the fourth rounder.

As of now, none of these players have received contract offers to either the active roster nor the practice squad. Keep an eye on these names in the coming days.
