Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence has successful surgery

Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence is expected to be ready for training camp after successful surgery.

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence had successful surgery to repair a torn labrum on his non-throwing left shoulder on Tuesday.

Lawrence has been bothered by the injury for the past couple of years. It didn’t appear to impact him on the field as he remains the almost certain No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars in a couple of months.

Tom Pelissero reported Lawrence’s doctors expect him “to be 100 percent for training camp.”

Lawrence had his pro day last week and wowed the scouts in attendance.
