Clemson will be without two key starters in its game against Syraucse on Saturday.
Clemson cornerback Nate Wiggins and wide receiver Antonio Williams both did not travel with the team and will be out versus the Orange, Clemson Athletics announced.
Wiggins went down with a knee injury last week, and after an MRI, it was revealed that he suffered a bone bruise. Sophomore cornerback Jeadyn Lukus is in line to start opposite Sheridan Jones.
Meanwhile, Williams suffered a lower-body injury against Charleston Southern in Week 3 and missed last week’s game against Florida State. Head coach Dabo Swinney said this week that Williams remained day-to-day, but the Tigers will have to make do without him for the second consecutive game.
In Williams’ absence, true freshman Tyler Brown has flourished in the slot, catching five passes for 84 yards last week.
The Tigers and the Orange will kick off at noon on Saturday.
