The Baltimore Ravens’ loss turned out to be a win for the charity, Blessings in a Backpack.
A group of classy Buffalo Bills fans rallied in support of Lamar Jackson after the Ravens quarterback left Saturday night’s playoff game with a concussion. Baltimore lost, 17-3, to the Bills in the AFC Divisional Round of the postseason. But Buffalo provided a silver lining.
WJZ CBS Baltimore’s Rick Ritter shared some examples of the Bills fanbase mobilizing on Twitter to donate money to one of Jackson’s favorite charities, Blessings in a Backpack, a non-profit organization which “mobilizes communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry,” per the organization’s website.
It seems the charity got a pleasant surprise with a heavy influx of donations on Saturday night.

Surely, Jackson is unhappy with the result of the game. But the donations certainly provided a heartwarming plot twist.
