The Tampa Bay Buccaneers boasted the NFL’s best passing attack last season, which shouldn’t come as a surprise considering they have both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
Both receivers eclipsed the 1,100-yard mark last year, with Evans making history along the way. Now that Tom Brady is their quarterback, the sky’s the limit in 2020 for this Batman and Robin tandem. Evans is already the franchise leader in receiving yards with 7,260, while Godwin is still a ways behind at 2,700.
But, Godwin may not be as far away from cracking the franchise’s top five in career receiving yards as you may think.
Godwin will enter his fourth season in 2020 just 1,600 yards away from tying former tight end Jimmie Giles for fifth in career receiving yards. It’s not out of the question to think that Godwin could hit that mark this season, especially with Brady as his quarterback.
Still, Evans has a strong head start on him.
