Consecutive mid-season wins have Kansas City atop the AFC West with an 8-1 record, and one of the easiest remaining schedules in the NFL. Their offensive superstars continued to impress this week, with Patrick Mahomes cementing his position atop the MVP race.
Though the defense looked like it had substantial room for improvement, their 30 points allowed was well above their season average of 19, but with offensive production like Kansas City had today, that’s all they needed. There were two injuries of note in Mike Remmers and Taco Charlton. With injuries already in the trenches, those could have implications as the season progresses.
