Following a blowout loss to the #Titans, the #Chiefs are nearly double-digit favorites over the #Giants on “Monday Night Football” in Week 8.

The Kansas City Chiefs dropped below .500 with a blowout loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 7, resulting in a 3-4 overall record for the 2021 NFL season.

The Chiefs are finally heading home to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium after a two-game road trip. Despite the Giants’ upset win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, oddsmakers still favor KC heading into the game. According to Tipico Sportsbook, Kansas City will be a 9.5-point favorite over New York with an over/under point total of 52.5 points scored.

This is the 15th time these teams will have met during their history, dating back to their first meeting in 1974. The Giants currently lead the all-time record 11-3 over the Chiefs. The last time these teams played was a low-scoring affair in 2017, one that saw the Chiefs lose 12-9. You have to go back to Andy Reid’s first season as head coach in 2013 to find the last win against the Giants, a 31-7 slaughter in a showdown between Eli Manning and Alex Smith.

Fast forward to the 2021 NFL season and these two teams are coming off of complete opposite performances in Week 7. The Giants blew out a Panthers team ranked in the top of the NFC conference, while the Chiefs were blown out with a listless performance on the road in Tennessee. Kansas City is getting the benefit of being the home team, but they’re not playing good football right now. As bad as the Giants have been with a 2-5 record this season, I’d be shocked if the Chiefs were able to cover the spread in this one.
