Chiefs open as double-digit favorites over Jaguars in Week 10

For the second consecutive week, the #Chiefs have opened as double-digit favorites over their opponent. This time it’s against the #Jaguars.

For the second consecutive week, the Kansas City Chiefs are favored by double digits. This time it comes against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are the second-to-last AFC South team they’ll face in the regular season.

According to Tipico Sportsbook, Kansas City (6-2) are 10-point favorites over Jacksonville next Sunday (3-5). The over/under point total is set at 50 points scored. The money line is now -500 for the Chiefs, giving K.C. an 83.33% implied win probability. Keep in mind this Kansas City team is now 3-5 against the spread this season and they’re also 4-4 on the over/under point total.

The Week 9 game against the Titans had a deceiving point spread in the long run, with the Chiefs grinding out a three-point win in overtime. This week could be more of the same for Kansas City, as Jacksonville’s record might not reflect how good this team actually is. Each of their five losses this season have been a one-score game. They’ve also had some costly turnovers that have helped keep opponents afloat in each of their losses this season.

The matchup against Trevor Lawrence should prove as a nice test for the Chiefs’ secondary with Trent McDuffie back in the mix for a second-consecutive week. It was hard to get a good look at the first-round draft pick in his first action off injured reserve given that the Titans only threw the ball 16 times on Sunday night.
