Chiefs named best landing spot for ex-Titans OT Andre Dillard

PFF lists the Chiefs as the best landing spot for former Titans OT Andre Dillard.

Offensive tackle Andre Dillard is the only player the Tennessee Titans have cut from their roster so far this offseason and he has yet to find a job elsewhere, something that should surprise absolutely nobody.

It’s never that easy to say that a player is the best or worst at something in the entire league, but that is not the case with Dillard when it comes to his play at left tackle in 2023.

Dillard surrendered 12 sacks as the Titans’ left tackle last season, tied for the most in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus.

As if that wasn’t bad enough in and of itself, lest we forget that Dillard was benched multiple times during the season and only started in 10 contests. In the 16 total games he played, Dillard saw just 18 offensive snaps in one of them, and zero snaps in another four. He missed one game due to injury.

Where Dillard ultimately ends up remains to be seen, but PFF’s Brad Spielberger believes the Kansas City Chiefs are the best fit for him.

Dillard’s short stint with the Titans did not go well, but he was a student of Jeff Stoutland University with the Philadelphia Eagles, and the former first-round pick has experience at both tackle spots as well as at guard.

Best landing spot: Kansas City Chiefs

What’s funny about this is the fact that Dillard is included in an article that names the best landing spots for the top-20 free agents left on the market. I know the market is thin at this stage of free agency, but I’m sure we could find someone better for No. 20.

Nevertheless,  maybe Dillard can right the ship and provide value as a backup, but that’s a BIG “maybe” after what we saw in 2023.
