The Kansas City Chiefs continue to break records on and off the field. According to CBS Sports, Sunday’s matchup between the Kansas City and the Cincinnati Bengals was the most-watched game to take place in September since 1998, with an average of 27.8 million viewers tuning in.
Viewership records are nothing new to the Chiefs. Last week’s home opener set the record as the most-watched NFL kickoff game since the league began televising games in 1939. Before that, Super Bowl LVIII, which featured the Kansas City and the San Francisco 49ers, was the most-watched Super Bowl game of all time.
