The Chicago Bears (3-2) will host the Green Bay Packers (4-1) on Sunday, where Chicago will be looking for its first win over Green Bay in three years.
The Bears are coming off an impressive 20-9 upset win over the Las Vegas Raiders, where all three phases contributed in the win. Chicago’s defense stopped one of the NFL’s top-scoring offenses. The Bears offense did enough with a strong run game and Cairo Santos booted two fourth-quarter field goals to secure the win.
Meanwhile, the Packers are coming off a 25-22 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals that just as easily could’ve — and should’ve — been a loss. The Bengals and Packers combined for five missed field goals, which trickled over into overtime. Eventually, Mason Crosby broke the streak with a 49-yard field goal in OT to give Green Bay the win.
The Bears are early 4.5-point home underdogs against the Packers, according to Tipico Sportsbook. It’s not a surprise to see Chicago are underdogs considering, as Bears fans are aware, the Packers have dominated the series over the last decade with a 19-3 record since 2011. But this is a Green Bay team that can be beat, if Chicago does everything right.
While the Bears have some momentum heading into Week 6, they’re going to have to contend with a talented Packers team that has been their kryptonite for the last decade, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers, wide receiver Davante Adams and running back Aaron Jones.
