This offseason could end up being a big one for the Chicago Bulls. Just two years after making some big-time moves in an attempt to move up the ladder in the Eastern Conference, the Bulls are nowhere close to where they want to be. Now, they could be looking at a new rebuild just a few years after they attempted to wrap up their previous one.
Trading one of DeMar DeRozan or Zach LaVine would be the logical place to start, but the Bulls also have a decision to make about big man Nikola Vucevic, who will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. While they could simply let him walk in free agency, the better option could be to explore sign-and-trade options.
One deal proposed by Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report would see Chicago sign and trade Vucevic to the Phoenix Suns and receive 24-year-old big man Deandre Ayton. However, the Bulls would also have to give up Patrick Williams in the trade.
