Chicago Bears’ 2020 schedule to be released this week

The NFL plans on releasing its 2020 regular-season schedule no later than May 9.

The NFL has managed to carry on with its typical offseason amid the coronavirus pandemic — including free agency and the 2020 NFL Draft. Next up: The schedule release.

The plan was for the league to release its 2020 schedule no later than May 9, a deadline that is approaching this week.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, that plan remains in tact, which means we’ll learn the Chicago Bears’ regular-season schedule sometime this coming week.

The league will release its 2020 schedule late next week without any major changes, league spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed — including a Sept. 10 opener, the Super Bowl on Feb. 7 and visions of fans in the stands.

“We plan to start on time,” McCarthy said.

Adam Schefter added that the preseason schedule will also be released this week — presumably before the regular season, as is tradition.

While we don’t know exactly when the Bears will be playing certain opponents, we do know who their opponents are for this upcoming season and where they’ll be playing them.
