‘Cheetah’ pulls a fast one on Dolphins Twitter before draft

He knows there’s no pick tonight… or is there?

The annual NFL selection meeting kicks off Thursday night from Kansas City, Missouri and rumors, speculation and smoke screens are being thrown all over the place.

They’re even being tossed out from the self-proclaimed “Twitter’s biggest instigator of 2023,” Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Knowing full well that the Dolphins don’t have a first-round selection in this year’s draft, at the moment, the social media comedian is likely parlaying the fact that some Miami fans are hoping the team jumps into the first round.

Of course, the Dolphins once had a pair of first-round picks, but one of them turned into Bradley Chubb, and the other was taken away for tampering by the league.

Sitting at pick No. 51 at the moment, and with limited assets this year and in next year’s draft, it’s not very promising that the Dolphins have what is needed to move into the top 31 picks this draft. The only possibility could be with either a key player from the current roster or a first-round pick in next year’s draft, which is essentially a significant insurance policy should certain things not work out the season. Or both.

Regardless of what may or may not happen in Thursday’s first round, Dolphins’ Twitter reacted to Hill’s instigation.
