Chase Young ahead of Tampa Bay-Washington: “Tom Brady I’m coming”

The star rookie pass rusher is ready for a shot at the 43-year-old Tom Brady in the playoffs.

Bill Belichick missed the cut for the playoffs this season, but New England Patriots legend Tom Brady kept his streak alive.

The 43-year-old is beginning a playoff run for the 18th time in his career and it’s with the 11-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brady threw for his 40th passing touchdown in Week 17 against the Atlanta Falcons, propelling the Buccaneers to the No. 5 seed in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, in a crazy game, the 7-9 Washington Football Team pulled away with a 20-14 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles to win the division. Star rookie pass rusher Chase Young was a huge contributor, as he’s been all season.

The 21-year-old capped his first NFL season off with 7.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 44 tackles. It’s great to genuinely have confidence, but it’s also smart to know your opponent. Young decided to call Brady out ahead of the game, but it’s going to be difficult to stop a crew that includes Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski.

Here’s what Young said following the win over Philadelphia.

The Buccaneers are set to host Washington on Saturday night at 8:15 p.m. ET for the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
