Chase Daniel predicted Mitchell Trubisky’s success in last 2 games

A few weeks ago, Chase Daniel said that Mitchell Trubisky threw his best ever during a Thursday practice, which has translated to the field.

After a rough start to the season, Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has been playing some of his best football this season over the last month.

It seems backup quarterback Chase Daniel sort of predicted Trubisky’s success over the last two games. Turns out, according to Daniel, there’s just something about Trubisky playing on Thursdays.

Following a Thursday practice ahead of a Week 12 matchup against the Giants, Daniel told reporters that Trubisky had thrown the ball “as best as I’ve ever seen him on a Thursday.”

While Trubisky had a solid game against the Giants that same week, it’s been his last two performances — against the Lions and Cowboys — that have Trubisky playing his best ball this season.

Against Detroit, Trubisky completed 29-of-38 passes (76.3%) for 338 yards with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception for a passer rating of 118.1.

The following week against the Cowboys, Trubisky completed 23-of-31 passes (74.2%) for 244 yards with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception for a passer rating of 115.5. He also made an impact in the run game with 10 rushes for 63 yards and a score.

It also just so happens that both games happened to be played on a Thursday. Here’s hoping that Trubisky can continue the trend on Sundays — starting with a road game against the Packers this week.
