With the No. 2 overall selection in the 2023 NBA draft, the Charlotte Hornets select Alabama forward Brandon Miller.
Miller becomes the Crimson Tide’s highest draft selection since Antonio McDyess went No. 2 overall in the 1995 NBA draft.
Miller helped lead Alabama to an SEC regular season and tournament championship during his lone season in Tuscaloosa and also carried the Tide to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament. Miller also won SEC Player of the Year and SEC Rookie of the Year for his outstanding 2022-23 season.
Since Nate Oats took over the Alabama basketball program, the Crimson Tide has produced five NBA draft picks and Noah Clowney should make for six later on in the first round this evening.
Congratulations to Brandon and best of luck in the NBA!
