Former Auburn basketball star Charles Barkley, a member of TNT’s popular ‘Inside the NBA’, is in some hot water with Georgia fans this week.
While discussing a Los Angeles Lakers game, which featured former UGA basketball player Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Barkley took a shot at the Georgia Bulldogs and their fans.
“Georgia is the only school in the world that they named their mascot after the women down there,” Barkley said.
Georgia alumnus Ernie Johnson Jr., the host of the show, replied, “Oh, that’s so totally uncalled for,” and later added, “Not even gonna dignify that with a response.”
