The Atlanta Falcons had one of the more embarrassing showings in recent memory on Sunday, blowing a 20-point lead to the Dallas Cowboys. And they did so with an opportunity to ice the game by picking up an onside kick attempt that the Falcons seemingly watched go by instead.
It was a terrible choke job by the Falcons to go along with their sad history of terrible choke jobs.
And normally, you wouldn’t expect that game to be a topic of discussion during an NBA pregame show, but TNT’s Inside the NBA is unique like that.
Ahead of Sunday’s Lakers-Nuggets game, Charles Barkley raised his hand because he had something he wanted to urgently say. It turned out that he just wanted to pile on the Falcons because of course.
“That was the biggest choke job”
Chuck says the Falcons loss today was worse than the Super Bowl 😂

Barkley said:
“I just want to say something, America. Y’all know I love football. It’s my favorite sport. And let me tell ya something, I lost a fortune on the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl when they choked. But let me tell ya something, they outdid they self today. That was the biggest choke job what the Atlanta Falcons did today. … That was a choke job!”
The Falcons won’t hear the end of that loss this season — that’s for sure.
