Chargers injury update: DT Linval Joseph did not practice for second consecutive day

The Chargers had four non-participants on Thursday.

The Chargers had their second to final practice on Thursday before taking on the Steelers this weekend.

Quarterback Justin Herbert was added to the report with an oblique issue. Despite popping up, he was still a full participant.

After being limited participants on Wednesday, cornerback Michael Davis, safety Nasir Adderley and running back Justin Jackson practiced fully.

Safeties Alohi Gilman (quad) and Mark Webb (knee), nose tackle Linval Joseph (shoulder), and defensive back Trey Marshall (ankle) all did not participate for the second straight day.

Not having Joseph this weekend would be a big loss for Los Angeles, considering the team could also be without Christian Covington and Jerry Tillery, who are on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

If Joseph can’t play, Forrest Merrill will likely get promoted from the practice squad.
