Chargers have had meeting with Boston College EDGE Max Roberts

The Los Angeles Chargers had a meeting with a prospect who could be a developmental outside linebacker.

The Chargers will be looking to add more players this offseason who are capable of getting after the quarterback.

According to The Draft Network’s Justin Melo, Los Angeles had a pre-draft virtual meeting with former Boston College edge defender Max Roberts.

After transferring from Maine, Roberts was immediately impactful, leading the Eagles with 22 tackles along with 4.5 sacks.

Roberts participated in the Hula Bowl, a college all-star game, following the 2020 season.

Before coming to Boston College, Roberts recorded 19 tackles, four tackles for loss and four sacks with Maine in 2019. He spent the first three years of his collegiate career playing at Fordham, where he had his best season with 70 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks in 2018.

Roberts currently projects as a late Day 3/undrafted free agent.
