The Chargers appear to have interest in adding more players to the secondary.
According to Draft Wire’s Justin Melo, Los Angeles has facetimed with former Oklahoma State cornerback A.J. Green.
This wouldn’t be the first time that L.A. had some form of contact with Green. The Chargers were in attendance for the Cowboys’ Pro Day earlier this month.
Green, the 6-foot-1 and 197 pounder played primarily on the outside in Oklahoma State’s defense where he was used both in zone and man coverage. The Texas native played in 48 games, starting 39 of them.
In four seasons for the Cowboys, Green amassed 147 tackles, 21 passes defensed and six interceptions.
Green has above average instincts and aggression to make plays on the football downhill, making him an ideal fit as an outside cornerback in defensive coordinator Gus Bradley’s zone scheme.
Green currently projects as a third or fourth-round selection.
