Linebacker Chandler Jones had himself a great game on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. For that performance, he has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.
On Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks in a 23-13 victory, he had four tackles, two sacks, three quarterback hits and a forced fumble.
It is the second time he has earned player of the week honors. He won it after Week 1, when he had five sacks against the Tennessee Titans.
He has won player of the week honors now six times in his career, five times with the Cardinals. He now has more player of the week honors than any other player in franchise history. He was previously tied with Adrian Wilson with four.
It is the second time he has won two player of the week honors in a season. He also did in 2019.
He and San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa are the only players in the NFC with at least eight sacks and at least 20 quarterback hits this season. Jones has eight sacks and 20 quarterback hits.
