CFB statistical leaders through Week 5

Is Brian Thomas Jr. the best WR that no one is talking about? Statistically speaking, he might have a case.

We have several statistical races across college football that are quite intriguing through the first five weeks of the season.

These categories don’t typically mean much in the grand scheme of things but fans love to see where their favorite players stand. For instance, the passing category shows us that Michael Penix Jr. and Caleb Williams are the two best passers in the country.

We also have a new leader in the clubhouse for the rushing title. Last year Air Force’s Brad Roberts finished with the most yards in FBS. So far it looks like Notre Dame’s Audric Estime is the class of college football with the way he is toting the rock.

Ahead of Week 6, College Sports Wire is taking a look at the leaders in several categories at the FBS level.
