Celtics’ Tacko Fall received another standing ovation in Boston

The 7-foot-5 center was once again greeted with a warm welcome upon checking into the game on Saturday for the Celtics.

Boston Celtics two-way rookie Tacko Fall logged just over two minutes on Saturday night but the 7-foot-5 center once again was greeted with a warm welcome in his latest NBA appearance.

With the Celtics sporting a hefty 110-89 lead over the Philadelphia 76ers, head coach Brad Stevens emptied his bench and subbed Fall into the game to the delight of the home crowd.

Fall finished with two points in 2:32 of action as the Celtics defeated the Sixers for the first time this season, 116-95. The appearance by Fall was just his fifth of the season and first since Jan. 8 against the San Antonio Spurs.

Fall has spent the majority of the season in the G League with the Maine Red Claws. In 18 games played, Fall is averaging 13.4 points, 10.2 rebounds and three blocks. Fall is fourth in the G League in blocks and 11th in rebounds among all players.

The Celtics play next Monday against the Atlanta Hawks.
