Celtics sweep the Cavaliers in their home-and-home series at TD Garden

Lamar Stevens, a rarely-used player so far this season, seized the opportunity in the absence of Luke Kornet.

The Boston Celtics clinched a 116-107 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second tilt of a two-game home-and-home series between the two East clubs this week. Throughout the game, Jaylen Brown’s post fadeaway shots kept Boston comfortably ahead for most of the game and Jayson Tatum’s fourth-quarter play was instrumental in holding the lead for the win.

Al Horford’s impactful play off the bench was bigger than his counting stats, and all five starters scoring in double figures contributed to the win. Forward Lamar Stevens, a rarely-used player so far this season, seized the opportunity in the absence of Luke Kornet and hinted at being able to take on a larger, more consistent role.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast weighed in on the win live from TD Garden postgame.
