Celtics mount a 17-point comeback to beat the New Orleans Pelicans 118-112

The Boston Celtics’ recent game against the New Orleans Pelicans started to spiral out of control for the Celtics in an all-too-familiar fashion in the first half. But good defense and better offense in the tilt’s second half got Boston back in the win column at TD Garden on Monday night.

The Celtics managed to do so with big games from Jayson Tatum (28 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals), Jaylen Brown (22 points, 11 boards, 7 assists), Jrue Holiday (20 points), and Derrick White (17 points). Reserve forward Sam Hauser chipping in another 11 points off the bench certainly did not hurt either.

“It’s a full season. It’s a full body of work you have to account for night in and night out,” said Brown via the AP. “We don’t really make (any) excuses. But it’s tough. You’ve got to come out and be the best version of yourself every single night.”
