While he still has to win the award in the actually existing 2022-23 NBA season, the official simulation of 2022-23 put together by the folks at NBA 2K23 has granted the 2023 Kia Most Valuable Player award to superstar Boston Celtics swingman Jayson Tatum.
To talk about Tatum’s hardware in the official sim, co-host of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast Cameron Tabatabaie linked up with Ronnie 2K, the face of the popular game. The duo gets into Marcus Smart’s chances to repeat as Defensive Player of the Year, whether we’ll see enough of Celtics center Robert Williams III for him to be in the running, and more about the season to come based on how the simulation went in the popular video game.
