Celtics get stomped by the Milwaukee Bucks on second half of back-to-back

It was clear almost from the tip that Boston did not have the legs to win.

In what might have been the worst game of their 2023-24 NBA season to date, the Boston Celtics were shellacked to the tune of 135-102 on Thursday night. Playing on the second half of a back-to-back with the Milwaukee Bucks after a tough overtime win over the Minnesota Timberwolves at TD Garden the night before, it was clear almost from the tip that Boston did not have the legs to win.

By the end of the first quarter, it was clear that the Celtics were in trouble, and by the end of the first half, head coach Joe Mazzulla decided to pull the starters and call it a night. That in itself became almost as controversial as the NBA’s decision to schedule two intense matchups one immediately after the other.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast took some time to try to analyze that debacle of a contest on their most recent episode.
