Celtics could be missing six players against Pistons

The Boston Celtics have a lengthy injury report ahead of their game against the Detroit Pistons on Friday, March 22.

The Boston Celtics will face the Detroit Pistons on Friday (March 22). It’s the second time these two teams will face off within a week. However, we’re unlikely to see the Celtics at full strength, as multiple players are listed on their injury report heading into game day.

Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis and Jayson Tatum are all listed as questionable. Jrue Holiday is out injured and will not participate. Sam Hauser is listed as probable and will likely suit up for the first time since his 30-point outing against the Washington Wizards on Sunday (March 17).

Boston is three games away from clinching the first seed in the Eastern Conference. A win over the Pistons could move them one step closer to cementing their spot. Fortunately for Joe Mazzulla’s team, Detroit will be missing multiple rotation members.

Quentin Grimes, Ausar Thompson, Isaiah Stewart, Simone Fontecchio, Stanley Umude and Taj Gibson are all listed as out for Monty Williams’ team. Still, the Celtics must remain focused if they want to avoid a potential trap game and continue building momentum heading into the postseason.
