While the importance of having a supportive ownership group behind any contending team is not discussed enough by fans and analysts, the Boston Celtics are among the luckier clubs in the NBA in that regard.
In an interview with the Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach, Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck revealed he had given the team’s front office the go-ahead to spend what it needs to compete for a title after making the 2022 NBA Finals and coming within two wins of beating the Golden State Warriors for Banner 18.
