Rick Mirer – Notre Dame QB 1989-92
Rick Mirer left Notre Dame after the 1992 season as one of the most decorated quarterbacks in school history. Owner of a 29-7-1 record in his three seasons as a starter, Mirer’s 41 touchdown passes were a school record at the time.
Having Jerome Bettis and Reggie Brooks in his backfield didn’t hurt his ability in the run game but Mirer added 17 more scores on the ground during his Notre Dame career.

He’s known for being a draft-bust now after going second overall in the 1993 NFL Draft, but Mirer was an absolute beast at Notre Dame.
Happy birthday all!
